Pic request! Show me your Shaved Lower Door Mouldings and S4 Skirts

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Like the title says, I'm looking for pictures of any S4 with shaved lowers and the OEM skirt. With body work coming up in a few months I've been contemplating deleting these common rust points for peace of mind.

One of two pictures I've found

Wow great stuff! I see the door sill will still be slightly noticeable but that's not going to be as prominent on a black car.

I am quite fond of the 96 chassis. It's so simple it's brilliant.

That yellow car shows the shaved moldings really well. Looks awesome I just know it's a fair amount of work and most body shops don't want to touch that kinda stuff with a 10' pole.

I got some great connections in the auto body world.

May as well do it since the entire car is getting painted anyways

These all look great, but is it just me or does the car look visually thicker?

shaving the lowers looks like ass. makes the side skirts stick out making the fitment look off, like they are some kind of aftermarket crap. do not recommend

I was hoping you'd comment lol.
    Always liked your comments.

It's almost like a narrow body S4 skirt haha

Anyways, I'm gonna take the mouldings off and see how they look before making commitments

i guess you set your trap with the right bait

but all jokes aside, the side skirts poke too much without the lower mouldings.

maybe mold the lower mouldings into the door so there are no seams i dont think that would look bad

The RS4 sides poke out even further, and also don't rock lower door molding.

Perhaps if the front and rear lower moldings were worked to gradually fade the transition in, and the door ones were left off. Maybe that would tie it together

I agree. Blending it into the quarters would help it out a touch. Seemless blend would be the best

rs4 also has matching fender flares that the regular b5's do not have. I see where ppl are going with this(shaving mouldings), OEM+ look? lol it just doesnt look right with the stock b5 body.

Now that I think about it, it almost looks like B6 S4 door blades or on the C5 allroad. Obviously not very similar but the concept is the same
