    Engine swap from 2002 a6 6 speed to 2001 s4

    long story short i had an rs4 engine and then some in an a6. Loved the car it was a rocket.. but i totaled the car last weekend and bought an s4 and want to swap. but i have one concern. i have apr downpipes on the engine from the a6... will they fit in the s4? id like to keep some of the exhaust at least to the x pipe. if anyone has done this before any help is much appriciated this will be the first time ive taken a 2.7 out.

    Did this last night with my friend trevor, was not that fun, but wasnt all that bad.
    If your s4 is tiptronic, your dp's might have trouble clearing the tranny. If you will be retaining the 6spd tranny from a6, it should all clear no problem.

    From what I have read s4 downpipes are shorter and staggered, other than that I can't see why it wouldn't fit.
    the B5 S4 is like the mafia... there is only one way out!

    Thanks and yea im going to be actually keeping the 6 speed from the s4... should be fun
