    Looking for the Front Trak diagram (explaining how and why it works).

    I believe one of our ~Norwegian/Polish members had posted it awhile back.

    It explained why FT's have no tq steer, and had a couple tech terms explaining the system beyond being called a FT, going beyond being a longituide and having ~equal shafts. Had a diagram aswell I believe explaining how if you took imaginary lines and extending them outward they wouldn't intersect (With bad tq steer cars intersecting quite soon).

    Ideas?

    GrapeBandi: I agree with your statement. Equal length shafts def. help w/ torque steer.

    How do you figure this? They share the same subframe, control arms, and uprights. Pretty sure that stock-for-stock the wheels and fenders are the same too.

    having worked on and owned both, I dont agree on this. the 2 cars are identical from the firewall to the front bumper.

    When I transfered wheels from my friend's 2.8qm to my car there was a lot more poke. Maybe it had to do with the camber, but the wheels fit differently between the two cars. Make sense why they'd be the same though.

    Was the poke similar on both sides of the car? If the subframe was shifted to one side that could cause more poke on side compared to the other.
    Otherwise, all the pertinent components are the same/equivalent, so I can't imagine what would cause that.

    It was ~elaborate, believe they used QuadLink "Virtual Steering Axis" in there and was more a technical diagram (not an advertisement or promotion tool). There was not mention of longitude or equal axles (as I remember) in the diagram. Believe it was red and black.
