Back to Audi! New to me 2014 S6

Hello forum members. It's been a little while since I've been on these forums. Used to have 2010 S4 with all APR mods. Loved it but moved away from the brand due to needing more room and expanding family. Went with a new Jeep SRT. Freaking jeep was amazing. I had it modified with a Vortech Supercharger with over 600 HP. Quite frankly one of the best vehicles I have owned when you compare utility, horsepower relative to price value. Anyway, I have the cursed bug of always looking for something newer and faster. I wanted to get back to a sports sedan. Long story short, I found a used 2014 S6 prestige and traded the Jeep for it yesterday. This S6 is absolutely immaculate. It's a little higher miles than I would have liked (33k) but you can tell a lot about a car based on how the previous owner took care of it. I'm sort of OCD about taking care of my vehicles. The good part of this trade is that's it's a prestige with every option checked including the B&O sound system. It already has the AWE exhaust system and APR latest tune loaded. Windows are tinted and it has the custom K40 radar installed.
One curious question I had is that the previous owner cut part the top section out of the intake. Is that a DIY enhancement for the intake? I've not heard or seen that before.
Car runs absolutely amazing. While my Jeep was extremely fast as was my S4 before it, this vehicle I think will blow the paint off of those.
I've got special things in store for this car. The dealer convinced me to do the XPEL Ultimate for the front of the car, hood, etc. while there are no scratches on the car, I want to keep it that way. Please give me your feedback if you've done the XPEL. Can you see the lines or has changed the color context of the vehicle?
Next thing planned is to go full Stage 3 with this thing. Once the APR downpipes come out, will evaluate replacing the turbos, etc. If anyone has already gone this route, I welcome your thoughts and feedback.
It's great to be back in an Audi and contributor on the forums. Here's a few picks.

Is it the air box that was modified on top? The previous owner likely modded the intake. The RS7 has factory grid pattern holes cut in the air box. Some people have modified their S6 air box to have a similar feature. That's probably it. Pics?

I'm full Stage 3 with my 2014 S6. It's really hard to look at the car the same way again. Yes it's a family sized sedan, that is quiet when you want it to be. but it pulls like something in the realm of exotic super cars. In various weather situations too. I would put the car up There as one of the best cars, if not the best car I've ever owned. The only warning I have is you may understand it's a luxury sedan with comfort and under the radar looks. But when you get used to the growl, bark, pop, and scream of the exhaust, the downshifts get more often, the pedal is used more, the turbos are woken up, you want to hear and feel the the various noises this thing throws at you. That and you can decimate almost anything on the street with it. I'd say you just don't look at your car the same way. Outsiders will see an S6 sedan. You'll know better, and if anyone ever tested you, you'd easily be able to see the surprise on their face when you open it up and bring all the muscle out in the open. Difference of night and day.

Congrats and hope you enjoy the hell out of your new ride. :-)

I believe it has been lowered. Not sure how to confirm or what to look for underneath.

Awesome feedback and thank you for it. On the cut out with the intake, it is the top section where the airbox is. They've cut the top out or the top lid section and you can see the filter. I'll get a picture in later. Can't wait to go stage three based on your comments. It's exactly the type of vehicle I was looking for.

It's the badge from the dealer. It's called Toy Barn here in Dublin, OH. They specialize in used higher end performance vehicles. I'll be taking that off soon.

Definitely lowered! You may want to try returning it to stock height with VCDS just to get a feel for the ride. The ride quality is very noticeably worse with lowering.

Are you kidding me?? Lowered is 100 times better than stock height, much lesser body roll and better steering.

Cornering has less body roll, but you will sacrifice comfort over bumps and undulating surfaces. There is a reason the stock height is higher (comfort).
