Bracket in left of trunk area?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm in the process of mounting a small amp for a small subwoofer in my trunk. I'd like to mount it next to my stock amp/backup camera module. I noticed there are three studs which I'm sure can fit a plastic bracket used for mounting some other modules which I don't have. Does anyone happen to know what brackets would fit here? Or which modules they might be used for?

    Possibilities I found:

    8R0907461A
    8R0035464

Thanks - I'll be sure to update the sub/audio thread with my results.

I think that is for the nav/B&O units.

Yeah, I believe it is intended for the amp for the subwoofer which is part of the B&O system.

Perfect; thanks guys. Seems like the bracket is a perfect way to mount an aftermarket amp for a sub. Going to pick one up soon.

What steps did you follow to remove the liner on that side of the hatch?

I'm also preparing mine for an amplifier but with B&O and Navigation, there is only a small vertical pocket to work with-- it looks nothing like the horizontal module bracket in B8 cars.

You need to first remove the bottom support beams - there are torx screws under the 4 chrome latches. Then the big side panels come out from either side, held in with clips.

Once they're unclipped you'll need to disconnect the seat folding-lever and trunk lights.

I finally got around to doing the install this weekend. Ended up working out really well - I think even with B&O you should be able to mount an amp on the opposite side using the same bracket. I got my signal directly from my stock amp - replaced the pins in the harness with new pins I got from audi, no splicing whatsoever. Another tip is you should be able to use a stock metal fuse in the battery area - this way you won't have to have an inline fuse and will have a dedicated power source nut. Will post some photos.
