    Coilover adjustment help!

    Hey guys,

So I'm completely stuck on something. I installed ISC N1 (Australia) Coilovers in my 2000 Audi A4 1.8T FWD about 3 weeks ago. This is my first time with Coilovers. Ever since I've had problems adjusting them to have the same height relationship between the front coilovers and between the rear coilovers.

At first I tried matching them by measure the ride height of each wheel and then adjusting one to meet the other, but they would never line up. (Very confused). Now I tried doing both front coilovers at the same time, even counted threads and measured from fender to the centre of the hub so they were both the same. Now it is on the ground and I measure from fender to centre wheel (I use the centre of the Audi rings), one side is 10mm lower.

Very very confused and totally lost. What could be causing this??? Thanks for the help guys.

When I adjusted my coilovers I measured from the bottom of the fender to the ground (GTF) and then adjusted how much I needed to raise or lower for both the front and back to have the same GTF. I also measured the exposed part of the strut under the coilover adjustment rings. You have to account for extra weight up front as well that after it settles it may be a tad lower.

A place between here and there

You have to keep playing with it. It's a chore. Easily a couple hour to a full day task getting the ideal ride height. Can't go by thread count. You have to keep adjusting, place wheel on, lower car to ground, and see how you like it. Adjust from there...each and every corner.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
