Steering rack problems

So I found out my steering rack is leaking at the front left boot in the wheel well. It seems that it is a seal and is not the boot itself. I am really trying to avoid buying a whole new rack and I have heard of some re seal fluid you put in your ps reservoir and it will eventually re seal the leak. Does anyone have any experience with the re seal fluids? I have heard good and bad reviews on them.

I too would like to know more imformation about this because replacing the rack would suck concise ring I just had my trans out for a clutch job

To my knowledge, any stop leak stuff should be kept as far away from your A4 as possible. It will only cause more problems. Unfortunately you're only option is to replace it. Mine started leaking a couple months ago on both sides and I've been putting off the replacement. I really don't look forward to it but it's the only option. Rack doctor sells them with the inner tie rods included.
