Popping out of 2nd

Hey guys, I recently bought a lemon S4 and just had the transmission rebuilt. I used the 1-2 synchro kit from jhm and the full linkage and short throw package was installed as well. The whole reason I took it in was because I couldn't shift into 2nd at all due to a shit synchro. Know I can shift into second just fine, but it pops out as soon as I let out the clutch and give it any gas. What the hell is going on? Please help an Audi noob.

Sounds like your short shifter isn't adjusted properly, with the car off are all the throws into each gear an even distance?

It could be a detent or defective 1-2 shift sleeve or synchros or poor assembly.
