OEM Sport Suspension B8A4 - Low Miles

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi Everyone!

My B8A4 came with a stock Sport Suspension (Sport Package) Sits quite a bit lower than the stock B8A4 suspension.

I currently have 40K miles on the car (not that it matters but my car has a clean title, never got in any accidents, washed weekly, not tracked, and garaged regularly).

A month ago I installed a set of H&R Coilovers, so I decided to sell my original sport suspension. First come first serve. Looking to get $380 including shipping. I am located in Portland OR

Original suspension is in great condition, rides very well, grips the road and sides nice and firm. Nothing wrong with it , I just was finally ready to lower the car.

What's included are everything in the pictures: four shocks and four springs of course. Also the rubber bottom pieces that hold the rear springs in place.

Looking to get $380 including shipping. I am located in Portland OR

    Thanks!

    Scott

Still available? If so, are you willing to sell just the springs?

can you post the part numbers for the shocks? I am interested but just interested in seeing how much it would cost if the shocks failed for any reason.

    Thanks :)

Yes they are still available. And I want to sell it as a complete package only.

In response to rahip, I'll look at the part number for the shocks after I get back home. But these are in great condition literally under 41K miles on these. And never tracked or anything.

    Still Availible! Who wants it!!?

You need to post the color codes on your springs and the weight codes for your car. Without that information, potential buyers cannot determine if these parts will fit their car.

WOw Kkemp! Thank you for that information! These stock springs are in like perfect condition and I've been wondering why they haven't sold yet.

I appreciate the advice, I will try to look for them and post them soon.

So just to clarify, what is the color codes on the springs? And where can I find the weight codes for my car?

    I have a 2010 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro.

    Thanks Kkemp!

The color codes are little dots painted directly on the spring coil - you can see part of one in your picture of your front struts. If you search on here you will find a list of spring color codes that you can match against your springs (some of the colors are very similar like violet and pink, so you can use the color decoder to help identify which combination you have)

The weight codes for your car will be on a sticker in your trunk near your spare tire IIRC. The sticker has a block of alphanumeric codes on it, two of which are the front and rear weight codes. I don't have it handy, but there is a site that acts as a "decoder ring" where you type in your codes and it tells you what options your car has, its weight codes, etc. By way of example to help you know what you're looking for, my car has weight codes 0JF (front) and 0YJ (rear)

Yes it will fit. The B8 A4 sport suspension oem works on all B8 Models. Only time it's different is with the avant.

These came off my sedan so if they are going on your sedan it will work fine :)

If you install springs from the wrong weight code your car may not sit at the desired height or ride as expected. There are something like 8 different weight ranges. It is simply not true to say that it will work fine just because it's a sedan.

ProgressiveB6A4 it's really easy to find and post the codes, they are literally painted on the springs. Just turn them and re-take the photos so they are visible.

Someone posted this image in another thread, hopefully it works:

So according to the pics, the rear springs for sale here are 1 green, 1 gray, 3 white which are for weight code 0YJ.
The fronts look like 1 violet, 2 pink which are for weight code 0JE

So going out of a bit of a limb here: pszydlik's car appears to be heavier in the front than ProgressiveB6A4's car. If you were to install these springs your car might sit a bit lower at the front than it would with the heavier springs, but that's just a guess. It's only two weight classes away, so you might not even be able to tell the difference.

    Hi Everyone!

I have checked the sticker, thank you KKEMP for all the help.

I have looked and I can confirm my weight codes:

    Front: OJE

    Rear: OYJ

NOW THAT THAT IS SOLVED AND DETERMINED... who would like to buy my Sport Suspension in great condition with low miles.. lol

i am and was planning on buying, before all of this coding. so it looks like we are matche on the rears but the front, you have OJE (load rating 5) and i have OJH, (load rating of 8) what does that mean for spring rate and height comparison from mine stock and yours sport? am i safe here in terms of drop and increase stiffness on front and rear?
