    Slave cylinder line

Working on my brother's a4 3.0 quattro. Got the new flywheel and clutch in, got back to the point of installing a new slave cylinder since the boot was pretty much DOA on it. For the life of me I cannot get the line onto the new slave cylinder! I took it back off of the transmission and still can't get the thing on there. Is there some trick to this I am missing? I am about to start putting the rest together, but since I have clear access at the moment, I'd rather do it now.

Are you saying you can't get the hydraulic fluid hose to thread into the slave cylinder? Is the hose fitting threads in good condition? Is the MC the correct PN? If the hose end fitting is not a threaded connection, is the slave cylinder hose fitting port to small? What specifically do you think is the cause of the hose not fitting into the slave cylinder?

It fits in fairly well, but still has a 1/8th inch gap or so. I am afraid to push any hard or I might bend the hard line. I see threads about everyone just pushing it right in, but I must be the odd man out.

No tricks, just took a little pushing/wiggling for me. I used this metal one - ECS. It's in far enough as long as you can get the little clip back in. There is a VIN split, so make sure its the right part. Not sure what's different though.
