How to install an Injen Intake Video/ Sound Clips Included

I installed the Injen cold air intake today and its obvious that it's much louder w/o the air box.

I do recommend you fashion a heat shield if you go this route.

Here's the link to the install and sound clip.

Nice review, I just sold my awe off my a7 for a roc-euro because I wanted something loud, but my awe was way louder then the injen.

Sounds cool I always wanted a nice sound to the engine ... So would you recommend the Injen? Do you have to build a heat shield AND remove the air box or is it better to get a roc euro or awe and not remove cap etc etc do they all need heat shields.

Pics of new set up with air box gone and heat shield! Thanks.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.

It's recommended that you either keep the air box or remove the air box but create a heat shield around the filter.

Also note, that there is a piece on the front bumper that is designed to direct air directly into the intake. Without the air box, the air stream isn't as directed. That's what my custom heat shield would do.

On a personal note, I'm only using the Injen intake temporarily. I fully intend to go with the AWE S Flow Carbon Intake. That thing is a work of art, and I want it. I'll most likely end up doing a review/install/sound clip if I can get my hands on one ;)

Does the awe sound better? Looks like it fits nicely in the engine bay as well... Although I wonder if the awe since it fits well it almost looks oem in there maybe the dealer won't hit you with a TD1

Awe is significantly more money!?!! Wonder if they offer a cheaper one without the carbon fiber? I never really understood paying more for carbon fiber when it's under the hood! Just my opinion

Mine was just the hose and the filter with stock box, it had a nice whoosh noise when you hit the throttle. There weren't any other options available when I bought my car a couple years back, I would recommend the awe, it has good sound and decent hp gain. I'll post my thoughts on the roc-euro whenever they decide to ship it to me lol, I am stage 2 so more air more power!

The dealer will notice the intake, but it's very easy to take in and out before you go to the dealer.

Carbon fiber makes you go faster....lol i kid. I just appreciate the work. I do plan on getting the dyno numbers to see how the awe intake performs.

As far as if AWE sounds better... I'm not sure. I can't find any sound clips. So I would say look at the injen intake sound. Does that sound good to you?
