Audizine screws up a lot. I would link you to the many threads they have jacked up but they all get deleted or censored. Scrap admins are scrap.

I've been working with Blake Beadle for the last week or so on tuning my car for E85. Good guy... Very satisfied with his work.

Daz or Blake are both great guys and extremely knowledgeable and have tuned many very fast and well sorted B5 S4s. I'm having Blake tune mine when my build is done, he's local to me as well. Can't go wrong with either.

Although this is probably going to open up a can of worms, what exactly happened to Daz?

I've been corresponding with him over the last while on Nefmoto and he knows his s*it, seems like a really good guy.

I get the impression that much like myself, he's the type of person who doesn't suffer fools and nut-swingers very well though. So I can see why he may have caused/ran into some friction here though.

It was nothing like that. AZ admins apparently didn't like that he frequently offered to help people, despite him doing it for free. Said he was still advertising or some nonsense like that.

You know, while I can see where someone could potentially bypass the advertising rules and maybe use that as a hook to eventually sell someone a full tune, how much money does that type of thing REALLY take out of the paid advertiser's hands....

I've found Daz to be incredibly helpful. Hell he even gave me (free) a really unique factory Bosch DAMOS file (ME 7.1.1 W12) to assist me in my 3.0 V6 and 4.2 V8 map pack development projects.

While I realize that advertising dollars assist in keeping sites like Audizine alive, guys who know their stuff (like Daz) tend to form the core group of people who build up the collective works and knowledge base which attract members to see these ads in the first place.

Although some advertisers have staff who assist and contribute on their own time, I really don't see advertisers adding much in the line of useful content to the forums.

To be honest, the more I look behind the scenes, especially at the tuning industry in the Euro aftermarket scene, the more I feel like there's a need for honest and constructive critiques to hold advertisers accountable and honest.

I've seen way too many products that are kept afloat though hype, secrecy and ignorant fanboys with more money than brains who need to justify their purchases by cutting down dissenting voices rather than taking the time to rationally and critically assess the merits of the products that they overpay for....
