Just now: Yellow Parking Brake Light Indicator Displaying

    Hey guys,

Was pulling into driveway today after work and put the car in Park, then activated the parking brake as I usually do by lifting up the button in the center console but this time a got a loud beep and then the "P" yellow light displayed between the RPM and speedometer - same place as where my low fuel indicator symbol displays. I tried engaging and releasing the parking brake a few times and it sounds like the brakes are engaging. I tried cycling through a few starts but it's still displaying. This is the only light that is displaying, if that helps eliminate some other issues from being possible. Please give any suggestions or help tips. I appreciate it.

I had that same issue in my old 05 A6. Turns out it was a failure in the electronic parking brake.
Is it actually engaging the parking brake? Test it by engaging the parking brake while in drive and then see if the car will roll when you take your foot off the brake.
