Hello I but my engine back into my b7 s4. And got a lot connected except the coolant stuff. But anyways the engine cranks but doesn't start... There's no fuel coming too the line. I have another s4 I tried swapping relays and fuel pumps but no go... Is there anything else I could have missed maybe connections or anybody have similar problem?

might sound stupid, but did you remove the fuel pump fuse before the job/removing the engine ?

one way of "bleeding off" fuel pressure is to crank the engine with the fuse removed.

No I didn't remove fuse so you are saying that I should have removed it?

I think he's asking if you removed it to bleed off fuel pressure before the engine pull, then forgot to put it back.

Can you hear the fuel pump running?

thanks for making my question clearer

what type of fuel rail/system do you have ? return-less or with a return ?
not exactly sure if it applies to B7's too, but B6's had the 2 types.

No I don't think I did it it's been almost 10 months since I pulled it took me awhile too do it all. But no I don't hear pump running I'm gonna see if there's power too the fuel pump.

Power at which side of the relay? There's nothing between the fuse and the relay, so if you have power at the output of the relay and nothing at the fuse, something must be wrong with the wiring. If you have power at the input to the relay on pin 30 and on the control side (black wire to what's labeled as "3" on the connector), well then it's probably the relay itself.

BTW, noticed you're in Oakville. I'm originally from Elma.

I'm not 100% sure is the relay located under the dash? Or is it in Where the Ecu is located... I'm going too do more research on the wiring tomorrow.

Oh nice not too far... Yeah not too much Audi guys around here it seems like I'm the only one maybe couple vws

yes theres power at the relay the black and red wires both got power but there no power too the 2 green wires going to the relay... and i already tired 3 different relays from my other s4 number 614 and so I'm guessing you are right that the wiring is messed up so i have too the trace the green wires and whats the issue. because the wires going to the FP fuse they are green and one green/yellow

Try checking the ground connection on the firewall. It supplies a ground path to the ecu, fuel pump relay, and probably some other things that I haven't looked into. Mine was loose, causing a voltage drop at the ecu and fuel pump, thus not allowing the car to start.
