I use Simple Green, a very soft brush and rag, low pressure water rinse on a cold motor then drive for a bit to evaporate any remaining water. DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE WATER

Great tips there Chris. I've had great luck with Adams All Purpose cleaner in getting the engine super clean.

I would just wipe it down with a wet towel and finish things off with another/clean one.

Too much risk of messing up something electronic in my opinion.

When I cleaned my B7's engine bay, I covered up the ignition coils.

I did not cover anything when I cleaned mine, but that is also why I say stay away from high pressure water as that has the ability to get into places you don't want. A garden hose with very low water flow (no spray nozzle) to rinse is fine.

This. My brother in-law said the same exact thing to me. Just stay away from a pressure washer and you will be g2g!
