    OEM Radio code help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I go a super deal and picked up a used working Symphony II+ for 10 bucks from a junkyard. Me not knowing it needs a code, I hooked it up in my car and unfortunately it is in safe mode

Is there any way to find out the radio unlock code without paying the stealership or these sketchy websites that say they offer code lookups. I do have the vin of the vehicle I got it form if that helps and the radio serial number.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Call Audi and speak to a rep. It's free. They'll send you the code.

    are you sure ?

how do they verify that you actually own the radio vs just stealing it .. ?

Audi dealership did mine for free as a gesture, i just took the radio in with a copy of my ownership and the guy punched it in and gave it to me .

OP you could have looked in the trunk . its an old mechanics trick to write the radio code on the options sticker in the trunk , so if he has to unhook the battery for any reason it is always there.

Yes 100% sure as I've called them for this exact reason. They just ask for your Vin and info about the radio and then email you the code. The symphony ii+ radios are almost worthless, don't think they are worried about people stealing them to put in their cars.

No problem. It definitely beats paying the stealership.

it usually in a separate pamphlet for the sound system but you may get lucky and its in the folder,. For some reason in wrecking yards they take them out but you might get lucky coz in our cars its kinda hidden.
