    Question about a DSG flash ?

    Hey guys pretty new here coming from the N54 world . I recently picked up a 13' s4 with a dsg and so far I love the car in every way . I have a cts pulley with an intake and a chipwerke piggy , since those mods the car pulls really good but I'm looking for a little more , I want an s tronic flash but these company's only offer it with there ecu tune itself . Is there a company or a way to just get a tcu flash with what I have now or do I need an actual tune from the big brands?

    APR has a DSG tune that people are running with other brands ECU tunes....

    I wouldn't go with APR, they have known issue with their DSG flash that they have been "working on" for months. I am not impressed with anything APR.

    ^ Scotty, I thought you could get us a hacked version of apr dsg tune for cheap.

    Love my APR Tune. No issues other than I need to have it reflashed to skip auto upshifts which it's set for right now.

    Gave epl a call today and asked about there dsg flash and they said while they do not recommend flashing the dsg file on a car without the actual ecu file from them it should work but not recommended. I have a CW "tune" now and I was wondering if anyone has done a dsg flash with this ? If it's not gonna be compatible in a good way then I'm gonna ditch it and go full epl stage 2 with a tcu flash .

    Myself and many others with CW went to stage 2. Its well worth it!

    This doesn't apply to everyone. I have a 13' S4 with Stage 2 and the TCU tune with 0 issues.

    Well the lack of support they are providing to those with problems leaves a lot to be desired.

    I have a 2011 S4 and I am curios about getting a DSG flash as well. I am running a stage 2 tuned by solomotorsports. What are some reasons it's not good to go TCU and ECU tune from different vendors?

    Is anyone else running a ECU tune from a different vendor and EPL TCU tune? How is it working for you.

    From my understanding with having two different tunes from an ecu and a tcu flash is load targets
    13' s4 ,ibis white ,b&O, sport diff , dsg , full nappa

    Epl stg2/dsg flash . Cts pulley . Ecs Kohlefaser Luft-Technik . Rotiform spf 19x10 all around . Enlaes decklid . Rs4 grill . Deval diffuser . Ecs diff mounts . H&R OE springs . Awe Touring .....

    I have the Revo DSG tune, but not the engine ECU tune.

    Much better than stock.

    I think most of us get it for the higher redline (B8.5 - not sure on B8). The shifts are quicker and a bit more firm, the paddles are more responsive. Some tunes offer different launch control settings too. It's not like it's an amazing difference because the stock DSG is still a great transmission, it's just better. I run the EPL tune and it still uses stock launch control, though I think that will be revised with more testing. Sport mode is very aggressive.

    Based on the holiday group buy, the retail price for that tune is $599.
