Do, or Do not buy a used 12' TDI?

I posted in the other thread but thought maybe I can get some more views. I have a line on a 12 TDI for a solid deal at 31k (50k miles, prestige) but I'm really wondering if this is a great deal, or is this just the beginning of the plummet?

Run toward, or away? Little help here..

run until it is sorted out. why buy trouble when it should be figured out in the next 6 months?

if you plan on keeping long term then resale value isn't an issue. as i stated in the other thread it's a buyer's market right now for this product. if you can get one for a great price and plan to keep it then go for it if you're going to swap out in the next year or so then don't bother.

Yeah, the plan was essentially to drive it for 10-12 months then trade it in... That looks literally impossible from here. A shame really because I love the vehicle. I managed to not only find one but find it perfectly equipped. Thanks guys.
