    99.5 1.8T Daily Build

Hello Audizine. Just here to share my build. I found a 1999.5 A4 Avant 1.8T Tiptronic Quattro Volcano Black Pearl with Black/Tan interior with 224,500mi.
I'm open to ideas, tips and suggestions for parts for the build. My plan is to build strong motor that's ready for anything and only run a Ko4 for now. I've heard Tips suck but I'm keeping *this* b5 auto for awhile.

If you cant laugh at the license plate, just breath deeply and carry on. I'm not looking to destroy this car by being retarded and cheap. I want to get the best out of the B5 Platform as this is the car I want for the foreseeable future because I like feel and era it came from. Next car has to be a C6 Avant

I could use input on DV, FMIC, Proper CC Injectors, Oil pump, Ko4 Tune, the little parts count and you all have your opinions so really any input is welcome.

Comfort is over sportiness but right now stock w/o sport package is a bit old and i just cracked a spring.. Planning on H&R Sport Springs, Hotchkis F&R Sway Bars, Koni Shocks & Struts. Any recommendations are welcome.
Plans for New Motor: Fresh block and AEB head, 034 Snub Mount, IE H-beam Rods, Ferrea Intake Valves & Ferrea Exhaust Valves, JE FSR Pistons, IE Valve Springs, Phenolic Intake Spacer, G.I.A.C. Ko4 tune.

    So far:
    Bought the car for $2500
    17x8 CEC w/Michillen PS2s
    18" HP w/Hankooks
Found KO4 on CL for $500 (not installed yet)

Brakes: PowerStop® 1-Click Z23 Evolution Sport Drilled and Slotted Brake Kit

    New Rear Lines and Hoses
    AEM Dry Air Filter
    17x8-17x9.5 STR 606s w/Bridgestone Potenzas
    OEM Style Black Housing Headlights
    RS4 Style Grille

My brother took one for the team in his '00 1.8T and killed a Prius.

I like those tail lights. They look better than stock IMO.

Thanks man. Wasn't sure if they looked good at first. But they are just so sexy and stupid bright at night so no one rides up my ass at the stoplights.

Oil in the coolant *sigh* full blown project time. Decided to tear into a project while shes down. Removing my beltline trim, center stack trim and door card grab handles, going for Piano black. And just some recent pics with the new suspension

Not that anyone cares but I still exist. This damn 1.8t is a f@*king trooper, got it at 225xxx she's now at 255xxx. 3 years with Slore and my only issue was a bad coolant flange last summer. Aside from a new timing belt she hasn't asked for much. She got me thru my teens without a crash or major break. Keep telling myself I'll do motor stuff after I swap in a low mileage AEB but this thing won't die. Got a K04 waiting too. Since she's so boring being a high mileage automatic I recently lost a bit of romance with the Avant and picked up a 150xxx mi Mk4 GTI 12v VR6 5speed to play with. Let my Mom take my Avant home with her for the winter (on stock wheels) since I plow snow so I never get to use my Quattro in Audi Weather. (I got stuck in the snow on a step drive way in the GTI on my first day FML lol) Took my off my 17x F/8.5 et30 R/10 et20? Can you say poke? But My Sainted Mother was complaining that the car had ugly stock wheels on it so I picked up some cheap "19s 235/35 et40 +5mm spacers just to get them on right, not flush. I know you're all thinking "needs moar low" but it's being driven by a 65 year old woman with a spine and right now with Koni Shocks/Struts with H&R sport springs is about as comfy as it can be.. And it's a Tiptroinc, I'll worry about low life stance and fitment on my GTIs. Yes plural, GF fell for the 12v VR6 GTI so that's going to her and now I gotta get myself a 24v GTI.
