My late intro and ongoing build thread

I picked up my 2016 mythos black S6 last month. It has the aras red interior, sports package, black optics, LED headlights, Bose, and cold weather package.

Since I obviously can't leave well enough alone, I started modding within less than 24 hours haha.

Got the car on a Thursday, went to the shop Friday to get the stage 1 ecu tune, lowered it via VAG-com as well as all other VAG mods, window tint(35% all around) and snow tires(the big blizzard came that Saturday so I had to be ready! Lol)

The following week I did 17.5 mm spacers from ecs all around and milltek non-res valved exhaust with black tips. I also did the roc-euro intake and tcu tune and p3 gauge.

Fast forward to today, I did a full alcantara flat bottom wheel with extended paddles and rs7+ buttons with drive select.

And as always, there is a lot more to come with some of it already in the mail

Only picture I have to share today though is of the new wheel.



Some new pictures added with my new wheels, HRE P101 in brushed tinted clear 20X9.5 et35 running the crappy OEM p-zeros(temporarily)




Also added the OEM LED interior lights with sunglass holder and got an unlock module for the VIM

Congrats! Nice list of mods. How do you find it drives with the TCU tune. It's the one extra thing I want to do with my car (hoping Unitronics comes out with their one soon).

Also, what does the Drive Select button do when you press it, and where did you get the steering wheel?

When you hit the drive select button it toggles between comfort dynamic etc. hit up Alex@europrice for info on the wheel!

Not very. I'm waiting for my 5k and then they go on. Only reason I don't have them yet is because if I did I wouldn't wait for that service lol. I'm already at 1600 miles though lol

The RS6 and RS7 Performance models have a new set of multi-function controls. The right hand set of buttons has a Drive Select button versus the "*" button. The Drive Select button toggles between DS modes versus using the MMI. The controls only come as a full set from Audi (they don't sell just the right hand controls separately):

As for the steering wheel, can be custom done as Audi doesn't offer full suede/alcantara wheels off the shelf:

There is the RS3 flat-bottom which can be prepared to work with the C7 and C7.5 models that has alcantara top and bottom with smooth leather sides. This doesn't require the time to be custom built so delivery is much faster:

as much as it pains me to have to pay to do a VIM unlock since all these years i've been able to do coding, this module plugs into the OBDII port and runs the unlock sequence in about a minute. Basically they cracked the security code and are charging until it becomes common knowledge, now that i have the module i will see if i can backdoor into it and somehow find that code

Can you share with me the unlock module you got for VIM? That is really appealing to me but curious on how much it costs and time to hook it up. BTW your wheels look fantastic! Good job, nice ride.

very simple to do, just turn on the ignition to the accessory position plug it into the OBD and let it do the rest

no i hate dynos, i have an extensive history of chasing numbers on a dyno and will not do that again lol. i will be at a dragstrip rental on friday though(as long as the car is done) and would rather go put times down.
