Alright ill say it.. take a whack at the search bar sometime..

The APR tune was first written in 06/07, check out JHM I have the Stage 2 91 it was recently written and embarrasses the APR stage 2+ I previously had.

I have APR 2+, and the investment in hardware to go from stage 1 to 2+ just wasn't worth it.

    Numbers make the chip sell.

I've contacted APR, and they never dyno their software on the 2.0 fsi.

This is a huge flaw in their sales. Not only me but many people that I know, let APR go because of this. They went with united or unitronic.

It will be in their benefit to add numbers ( or estimate) since those B7 are out of warranty and many people will upgrade the software now.

completely agree and I as able to get this.....we have hundreds of files written for that set up so there is not just one graph to represent them all???? Agreed hurts the potential sale between stage 1 and K04

what setup are you running right now?

As others have said, lots of people go with JHM, GIAC, United, unitronic etc VS APR. APR's tunes are known to be on the more conservative side.

Our stage software is a pretty big bang for the buck. Plus stage 2 is a free update, program switching is included, and launch assist is a free feature for manual transmissions!

I had APR2+ and there is no balls after the initial torque spike. It has a great torque spike but it falls flat by 5500. The JHM was such a huge jump that kept pulling until the redline. I have started to consider BBK as my next mod because I am coming up to my normal corners with way more speed then before.

this is normal with the k03, it can achieve the pressure + air flow @ high rpm.
My peak boost is 24 psi around 4500-5300, then it goes down to 17-18 psi to red line.
probably the tune got a ''protection''. High pressure = high temperature. If you add more flow at high temp ( high rpm) not sure for the engine on stock intercooler....

    Unitronic stage 2.

This is why I miss my vq30de. this v6 push all the time. Way less hp for better 1/4 miles.

I think JHM stage 1 + HFC is a pretty good combo, no need for stage 2 for street... It's as good or better than APR stage 2+... Had that on my Audi A3 before... mind you was quicker as it was a smaller lighter car, but no quicker than the JHM stage 1

    My 2 cents

That's due to the non-linear throttle pedal map. ¾ pedal actually give you 90% throttle, so pushing the pedal that last ¼ only give you a small increase in throttle.

Yep. That's one of the things JHM fixes with their tune. They have a linear map, so it feels like it should. I run a linear pedal map in maestro also.

car is back its APR stage2+ and honestly it really smoothed out the cars acceleration nicely especially from a start. no delay in spooling up.....very nice difference and useful for everyday driving. Agree with most, difference between stage one price and 2 plus is a big jump but its way cheaper than buying a new car :).....so money well invested. One man's opinion.

    Enjoy your rides!

I agree I did notice a improvement in the acceleration and feels that it smoothed out the band with a little extra on the top end; I did also add a FMIC at the same time.
