True. There's 3 basic variations.
Halogen to Pre-Facelift LED
Halogen to Facelift LED
Pre-Facelift LED to Facelift LED

And if they happen to be Facelift LED, are they the US version (with red turn signals) or the Euro version (with amber turn signals).
If Facelift LED, certain Audi part numbers on the back will confirm that.

Then there's the Euro adapters as opposed to the North American adapter differences because the Euro body harness connector is 4 pin and the North American body harness connector is 5 pin. The 5th pin to address the outer red corner marker on the NA version tail lights as the Euro versions don't use that.
