I recent bought a monster cable casette to aux adapter for $22 at target.

    http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCarPl...assette+to+aux

It worked well for about two days, but recently has started to pause songs randomly. It also ejects itself.

Anyone have any luck with these?

An fm transmitter will give you better sound quality. And you can have other options such as Bluetooth and usb playback with them.

I gave up on cassette adapters in my B7, never like the sound quality and I had issues with it always trying to activate the auto reverse. I ended up purchasing a dension ipod/bluetooth adapter from enfig. Sound is much better, I can use my steering wheel controls with it, information appears in my cluster and I have bluetooth.

+1 on dension from enfig. I ran the adapter into the glove box and can still get the cord out the side of it to change playlists fast

i just installed this a week ago and love it. Super easy install and I'm very impressed with the sound quality. I can't believe audi put cassete players in the early b7's

i still purchase cassettes (and vinyl) when they are available from artists that I follow.

love the cassette deck in by B7.

and yes, i still believe that analog sounds a thousand times better than digital.

Tbh not really. I actually bought a unit from grom which is similar in function to the Denison units which now gives me Bluetooth controls from my steering wheel, iPod and Aux connectivity.

    Really?! A thousand times better?

And cassettes? Jesus they're like the WORST audio fidelity you can imagine...

    A 32kbit MP3 sounds better than a cassette.
