    Rear brake line banjo bolt

Collective, when I changed out my allroad's rear caliper, the banjo bolt head became somewhat malformed. I managed to hammer on my open wrench and pry it off but would feel much better about getting a new bolt to replace it with. Seems that the bolt is not sold separately by Audi anymore - one must buy the $100 flexiable brake line to get the bolt! This is ludicrous!

Anyone else able to find a supplier for just the bolt?

Do you have any dimensions on the bolt? I have a few left from my C5 4.2 and from a B6 A4. I'd be happy to send one your way if you pay shipping.

It is a pretty standard banjo bolt. MEasure thred pitch and length and go to local flaps/napa. They should have something in your size. Ebay will have it 10000000000000%. But then thing about it. Maybe it is a good idea to get a set of new lines anyways, 15y old lines....

Strange, its not even clear from ETKA if the hose comes with the bolt.

You also will need to replace the copper crush washers. This dorman link shows some of their banjo bolts and crush washers. You will need to take some measurements. If I have some time I will do this later as I have a caliper with a cut hose that I need to remove anyways and size up some replacement washers.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I did contact NAPA who were extremely helpful I calling all their local contacts as the M12x1.0 banjo bolt was an uncommon combination for them - lots of M10x1.0 and M12x1+. I was able to race over to the only supplier in the whole city who had 2 in stock. I picked up 2 - never know when the other caliper will go. :)

Here's a pic of the "Yeti".

$12 for the set. Now that I know the size, I would also check out this banjo bolt which would be cheaper.

Thank the Lord I found your thread! What a piece of monkey shit this "short" project was... There should be a warning label on this brake line that it will cause total blind rage. OE part $180 from dealer. Buy $23 napa part. Get fucked when you have tried to use the old banjo bolt. I used the O'Reily link and it will be two days. Looking at 5 days down...
