Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, I was trying to find a thread which talks about the exhaust setups of people, but i havent't find one yet that speaks about he 3.2 engine, so if you don't mind just drop me your setup, i'm looking forward to hear and see those setups and also to answer some of my questions.

My car is automatic, iv'e read on some forums that some exhaust setups can't be suitable for automatic, so im wondering what can which sounds nice?

I've swapped our stock mufflers out for Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds pretty good but it was temporary/budget solution in my case

Doing a basic muffler swap like that is always a great budget option. Another popular setup for a bit more volume would be deleting mufflers and using one of our resonated X's in place of the factory resonator.

The Milltek setup is a direct bolt on and sounds great:

Your exhaust setup on b7 3.2

I deleted the rear mufflers and had some quad tips fab'd up.

Sounds really nice, deeper through the mid range but not much louder at the top.

Eventually I'm going to add piggie pipes and I bet that'll make it louder.

I have some clips I need to put on YouTube.

We have quite a few different sizes of the resonated X's you could check out, but the most popular seem to be #12468 (5x8x18") or 11378 (4x9x11"). A good deal of info on this mod and video clips can be found on this s4 thread:

Thanks man. Heres another pic. Those are 19's on 235/35, just need some spacers.

However thats the stock exhaust set up. I believe I paid around $150 per muffler, and install was $95. Just realized your in Montreal, I go to school here so I can always show you sometime. Headed home tomorrow but can show you sometime next week if you'd like. Cheers

So far I've done just the muffler delete as a temporary solution until i make up my mind on an off-the-shelf cat back. It sounds really good and i recommend it, took an hour or so to complete.will post pics of the finished product tomorrow if it helps. (downshifts are heaven with the delete)
