No.... I bought it from a dealer in Texas and had it shipped out to Massachusetts.

I just gotta say kudos to you for having a wife that drives a manual as a daily. Also, nice clean car. If I was in the NE, I would seriously consider purchasing.

Trade in at $32k you save on tax on the new car which you won't gain much by selling at $35k.

+1 thats hawt. My wife can't drive a stick to save her life, and I have tried teaching her on 3 previous cars. When she asked to try in my S4, I almost got in trouble by the way i said 'hell no woman!'

My wife drives our 6mt everyday. That was her rule with getting the S4, it had to be stick. There are unicorns out there, you just have to look for them. Good luck with the sale, it's a damn fine car.

Thanks man. Its funny my wife drove a Legacy GT 5spd for 6 years and I bought her a '10 Jeep SRT8 when we had our first kid.. She hated it and insisted on getting back into a stick. The S4 was exactly what she wanted and has been a a lot of fun for me too! Hopefully she doesn't regret the Volvo!

Yes we discussed that at the dealer but by selling it privately I still net more than the $32k and tax savings.

Wish my wife drove a stick - I remember slowly teaching her on my 335 6 Speed, allowing her to shift the gears as a passenger whenever we drove around.

She was doing great after a few weeks. During a drive after dinner, I told her "Great, you're doing so well, you can start learning how to use the clutch"

She's like "What's a clutch?". My heart sank as I turned on the interior lights and pointed at the 3rd pedal.

"No way, that's too complicated". That was the end of my lesson...

Did you test drive the new Q7? I think it's light years ahead of the XC90... Also a lot of issues I've read on the new volvos.
