Behind the grill

There are 2 devices behind my grill (09 S5 4.2) one is a box attached to the back of the grill by 3 screws. The other device looks like some sort of a sensor that clips into a plastic clip also located on the back of the grill. What are these for? Thanks.

I know the one behind the emblem is for the Homelink. Not sure about the latter
