2013 or 2014 s7?

I sold my POS M5 (6k in repairs last month and still couldn't work!) and now I can go buy an S7.

Do I need to worry about first year model 2013? Any major issues?

The only main difference I can find b/w 13 and 14 is some auto door closing and different modem in MMI? I am more concerned about mechanical/engine issues. Thanks

If you can go for the 2014👍 I have had no problems at all (so far)

My only advice is try to find one still under warranty. That way you can get every little gripe fixed/upgraded.

I found a local 2013 with i think 40xxx miles and CPO w/6 year/100k miles (I gotta double check what that means e.g. from today or since it's 2013 it's already 3 years into warranty).

56k with all the options I want. SHOULD I GET IT????

So, for the CPO warranty, they give you 2 years of additional limited coverage on top of the standard 4 year warranty, not 6 years from the date of CPO purchase. For 2013, you'll have about 1 year left on the factory warranty and then 2 years of CPO warranty.

Also, while it still covers most warranty items, it won't cover items such as stereo issues or headlight issues, and there will be an $85 deductible for each warranty repair during the 2 year CPO phase.

3 years is perfect for me. I can't handle the wait on modding and specifically wanted a higher mileage one. This is actually more warranty than I wanted.

I looked on ebay auctions etc and have not seen a car for this price. I'm gonna buy it. They didn't budge the entire month till today. Bet it's end of the month :)

Try to get all the options you want while still being under warranty. Trust me. Otherwise you'll just end up paying for retrofit mods later which usually is more expensive.

Remember, you're buying a used S7. It's been pushed hard. No one buys an S7 to be in the "gently driven, adult owned, mostly highway" category.

Get all the options you want now. It'll save you money in the long run. Retrofit is costly.

Get it under warranty. You don't know how hard it's been driven, and what needs to be replaced. Warranty will cover you. I had my timing belt done right at 45k.

Yeah it has all the options I want. I wanted the good stereo and did not want to retrofit that. I'll report back later if I got it!
