Problems with LED Headlight Brightness

Hi Guys. I got a vag com today and i was trying to change the headlight brightness because they are very bright. I read some tutorials here, and i saw this :

This will allow you to change the intensity of the LED's when your headlights are on. By default the LED's are only 8-9% or brightness.

[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 3
Enter new value for LED brightness i.e. "100" If you want LED's at 100%.

When i went to Adaption -10 and when i change to Channel 3 it shows Error, so i can't change anything, maybe its stored in another channel i don't know. Anyone can help me guys?

I am deeply confused by his statement. LOL

I am also one of the people that has raised there brightness to 100%. I personally want people to see me coming. It also doesn't hurt anyone's eyes...

If you drive in weather..... rain, fog, snow..... you do not want your LED's burning at full at night ------- the glare will be unbearable!!!

I run mine at 35 or 40% (don't remember off the top of my head) and they are perfect for lighting up anything that reflects, but I don't suffer any glare issues in heavy rain, fog, snow.

Im very sorry for a stupid question, are you talking about daytime running lights? Because I have 2014 A4 Premium Plus Sline and mine bi-xenon not LEDs, I would love to make them brighter too if possible.

Should be same channel as in post 1, its drl brightness with low beam on(lights on)!

Mine are very bright, i just added the bi xenon before a month, and its the same light, like on day and light on night its very very bright, i see that a lot if people run with 30% mines im sure that are 100%. The concern is when i read all tutorials i saw that its on channel 03 but when i check mine its not there saved. I need to make them 30%

So if you enter 20113 and after that entering adaption and channel 3 you get error? Where did you get harness and suffix(last letter) your 09 module is what?

Hi Guys. I still cannot change the led brightness via headlight. As i said on my first post i have audi a4 2013. I did this tutorial :

I added the bi xenon headhlights before a month in my car, and i sent to one dealer, they put those on and coded with vag com, but i don't think that they did a great job so i decided to buy it by myself.
On the last pic, i want to add that when its 0 and in the second one ( green light ) its the same light of led headlights, when its in 1 again same light of led but with xenon on.
I want to do it when its in 0 to have a lower light of led, that's what i am trying to do.

Please someone help me, and sorry for bad english

Enter 20113 in security and then goto adaption 10 and change channel 4 to 75

You have to goto adaption 10 and change the value of 15 to 100. I think it's change 3 or 4 or 5. There is a drop down menu on that page that saids what it is

I'm a little confused, so you have retrofitted from halogen to bi xenon a month ago and all went well with the coding? Do you have your high beams working? From your last post the pictures show a non compatible BCM unit for DLR LEDs. Also, you have a headlight switch without the Auto option so your headlights and Leds are at 100% due to no light sensor to switch on the HID and lower the led brightness at dusk. I think your coding is still set for halogen lights, but thats a guess without seeing your coding. I think this is where your having your problem, trying to adjust a setting that you just don't have the hardware for.

Hi, thanks for trying to help me. I think the same, here where i live in Balkans , the dealers are not specialized in a such of things, so they are late with technology, things like Vag com etc.
And yes, all the time they are 100%, the high beans work great.
So what hardware do i need to buy? Or how do i need to set the coding now?

Hi, to be honest i don't know. Let me explain from first what i did. I decided to buy the bi xenion headlights, after 8 months that i bought my a4 b8.5. I don't know much about cars, i even didn't know first that i need to sent the car to dealer to program it via vag com. I thought it would be easier.
When i sent first time, someone said to me that i need to change this module, that you sent me from Kufatec, someone gave it to me from audi q5 and said that it will work good. So i replaced with mine, sent it back to dealer, when they tried to do it, it added a lot of errors on programming, start stop didn't work, interior lights didn't work and a lot of other things.
So i decided to go back again and get my part that i had from the first, because some other dealer said to me that they can make it work with my part that i had.
So i sent it there, and now the bi xenons work, but not the way that i want, it has to much bright. Also they did the fog lights with vag com ( when i turn the wheel, to start the light ) but it works just when i turn the light, if i want just to use the fog lights without turning the wheel, it's not working then.

For that i decided to open an account, and to do it by myself, i just need to know what i excatly need to do :)

Try setting Byte0 to 26 and then see if it accepts. If it doesn't you need to replace your BCM with a highline version. But I got a feeling that this is still not going to give you what you want. Your headlight switch is not compatible for auto dimming and I think you don't have the light sensor as well. Not try to be mean here but I would just stay with what you got and move on.

Those should be part numbers and factory coding for FL cars from factory with bixenon, dont take coding 1/1 as it depens of your equipment! Still question remains why no dimming for you, ive seen somewhere thread, where harness was modified, result no need to change control module but no dimming, so who knows what did the shop(service) you used first! I will search and post if i find.

You probably need new module, ive seen 2 cars running byte 00 (29), but no clue to they have xenon or not:

Or if you like keep drl on full( as i understand no need coding or changing module and no errors ):

use this wiring(lower diagram), its for preFL cars, so i cant say it will 100% work on FL(go by pin numbers or translate with google)

With current coding byte 0 value 29 adaption channel 3 is not available, just tested(but my drl brightness on lights on position did not increase because of that, still same 9 as it was before testing 29,23,69), so hit 26 if out of range/rejected buy new or fly on full.
