    No boost......

So recently I changed my diverter valve because I threw a code p0299 and the diverter valve is bad. So I change that and I had great boost pressure probably around 20psi. But now as of a few days later I'm having little to no boost pressure. If I get to around 4000 rpms it will jump up to about 12 psi all of a sudden, but if I'm driving normal I'll barely hit 3 psi. I did leak test and had zero leaks. Where do I go from here? Please help.

Maybe your boost gauge isn't functioning properly. Do you feel the boost come on and off like the boost gauge is showing? Or is what you feel different from what you see.

I can feel the boost come on when the gauge shows, it's low but then when I get high on the rpms it's like a surge and then I hit like 12psi and can hold it there if I keep on the throttle.

Ive had someone local to me have similar issues, and upon inspecting his install, he totally screwed up the DV positioning, leaving a big gap.

Did you double check that at all?

Yeah when I put it in I made sure it was fully in and tight. When I did a pressure test it would leak from the DV if it wasn't in all the way right?

Yea I would assume so, depending on the positioning of the Dv, if it was stuck open or not. But you said there's no gaps so id check elsewhere.

Have you checked your PCV and Cam follower lately?

Did the PCV like a month ago, but I really need to look at the cam follower now that you mention it, but haven't heard anything from there but fingers crossed.

I think I'm going to pull the DV back out and look at that, it's the new piston style and heard some bad things about them. If not look at the N75 valve.

Was the DV the updated piston style or the diaphram? Also, 170k miles. Wow. Greating seeing these cars lasting this long.

Same thing happened to me, except my piston style diverter valve exploded. I contacted JHM (where I got it from) but they never responded. Part was out of warranty anyways, just wanted to know if the piston style was having issues...

It was the piston style, and yeah she runs really good even with high miles. Here's the old DV I took out it was beat up to say the least.
