    Paddle Shifter retrofit?

    Any way we can retrofit paddle shifters into our cars? It may have been posted already, but couldn't find with a search.. Thanks

    I would think there may be some vagcom coding needed to have it work, but maybe someone else will have an answer.

    Enable Paddle Shifters Using VCDS

    VCDS
    16 - Steering Wheel
    07 - Coding
    Long Coding Helper
    Byte 2
    Bit 5 (Tiptronic Installed)
    Check the Box (Change from 0 to 1)

    Anyone in SoCal I'll buy you some beer or food or cash if you're willing to help me out?

    If your current wheel doesn't have them, yes. Most on AZ who have undergone the swap purchase the flat bottom wheel. However, if you are looking to save some cash and the FB isn't what you're after, you should be able to pick up a used sport wheel for less. You'll have to buy a new airbag as well though.

    another option is get a b7 4 spoke with paddle shifters, and swap the chrome rimmed buttons from your b8 wheel onto it.( what I'm tring to do)

    As others have said you will need to replace the entire wheel assy. I've got my removed three spoke with paddles and airbag sitting in the garage after I upgraded to the Flat bottom Wheel. Send me a PM if you may be interested, I come to San Diego for work next week.

    The B7 S4 3 spoke wheel is a direct fit, just need to swap the wire harness. You can get them cheap!
