    Alignment questions...

Just installed H&R OE's and the shops alignment rack was tied up. So they said that the car may not even need an alignment being that it's barely diff. I take the car for a ride and it drives perfectly straight. Steering wheel is dead on. Feels perfect. Is this possible? I know everyone will say Do it just to do it but anyone think I had a real concern of premature tire wear or could I possibly be just lucky. He kind of cheated on the backs and popped them in without taking everything completely apart. He got the rears done very quick. What do you guys think?

Drive it for 1k miles and then get it aligned.

I didn't get alignment until after a year after I installed coils, didn't notice any irregular wear and my alignment wasn't very far out from spec.
that being said, I would recommend doing one in a week or two just to be sure.

Well, if it's lower, the camber and toe will change. The interweb would suggest springs need a little time to settle so no harm in waiting a little bit, but I'd certainly get it done.

If you are only talking about camber, they are probably right, but there is no way to know if your toe is off. Camber will be pretty well set, but toe is going to do more to cause premature wear on your tires if you are running increased negative camber (as you are now). It very well may or may not be off, but if tire wear is a concern, an alignment is the only way to verify. Once you lower your car, keeping toe in check (low) becomes much more important if you want to limit tire wear.

Another thing to consider is how the rear springs were installed. A lot of places loosen the rear subframe to squeeze the springs in. If that is the case, you absolutely want to get an alignment ASAP.

Springs will mostly settle within a few minutes of driving. Take it out for 15-20 minutes of aggressive driving, and it should be ready for an alignment. I've been through 5 suspension setups on this car (four of them with spring changes), and never had an issue doing an alignment on the same day.
