    wiring B6 recaro's to a B5: need some help

I've searched a lot and can't find anything specific to this swap. I came across a set of Recaro's out of a B6 and am installing them into my B5. I have custom brackets on the way, so no worries on mounting them. I can't find any info on properly wiring them. they're heated and power. here are some pics of what I'm seeing:

B6 female plugs from seat bottom, 4 including an extra black:

B5 plugs from harness, also female. no black plug:

does anyone have any idea on properly wiring these? has anyone completed this install?

First of all, the yellow one (airbag) is the only one thats actually the same. The rest are the same color but different connectors.

Secondly there is no "proper install". They don't fit electrically or mechanically. You just have to figure out what works.

When I installed my Porsche recaros I used the seat side connectors from the b5 seats and grafted them onto the new seats so they can be unplugged for removal. That's one option but it does leave your b5 seats in a pretty sad state for resale...

Might be a dumb idea but could you find a b6 partout to steal the b6 harness plugs from and wire those in? That way the pins ect would match up. Might need to run a few xtra wires but I think that might be your best bet. And would keep your b5 seats as sellable.

What tar said! Or make an adaptor harness, which you put in between the harnes of the car and seat. Just need to get some plugs and wires.

grrrrr.. this won't be quite as plug and play as I'd like it to be. anyone know what the black plug is? here's what I've gathered so far:

    B6 harness
4 wires on red heated seat plug
2 wires on yellow airbag plug
5 wires on green power function plug
4 wires on mystery black plug

    B5 harness
3 wires on yellow airbag plug
2 wires on red heated seat plug
5 wires on green power function plug

I'm not sure what the extra wires on the red plug are for. black plug is a total mystery right now. it seems the wires are near the same gauge and color similarity as the yellow airbag harness. wondering if this is a part of the two stage airbag? yellow plug on the B5 also has an extra wire, which doesn't match the 2 wires on the B6 plug. if anyone has any diagram whatsoever it would be very helpful. I have the B5 seat driver still, not the passenger though. I'm planning to toss the seat, so cutting that wiring harness off for cleaner install is fine by me.
