Hi guys yeah its me again. So I still have CEL and EPC with limp mode now added Traction Control light bringing it to a mechanic in a few hours any suggestions on where to look? EPC started out occasionally, now its constant, today the brakes felt weird like not power assisted and traction control light came on, turned car off and on again, lights stayed but the brakes seemed to work fina again. So got the appointment at 2ish any suggestions would be huge. Any connections known to cause these faults? Fuses to check? I know of the 618 relays, maybe the harness they plug into? Thanks in advance.

It's actually the 614 relays. I had a similar issue and replaced both, no problems since. There are 2 of these under the ecu, one for low pressure fuel pump and one that deals with signal to the ecu on startup I believe.

Where did your relays from? I ordered 2 from Europa parts, and replaced the 2 relays and when I started my car it instantly died. Then wouldn't start. I put my old ones back in started no problem but still epc. They got flooded about 2 months ago, I cleaned them and the harness and reassembled .

I got mine locally in San Diego from a place called north side imports, euro wholesale parts place. They were same part number as oem ones just black instead but stamped 614 with part number 8E0951253. I can't remember the brand off the top of my head.

Drove car to mechanics, about 45 minutes away. Car would downshift on its own but Id have to use tiptronic to get it to shift to higher cruising gears, it wouldnt go past 2nd on its own. Got there, shut it off, dropped the keys and went for a walk. Came back and the mechanic was asking if I can get it to act up again. When he got in to bring it into his garage it only had CEL. We went for a drive and I went WOT a couple times and the car performed flawlessly. As far as codes there were 2 p0087's, a accelerator position code (not sure what the number is) and another intermittent something low pressure sensor code. He said he'd need to catch it in the act. I have noticed that shortly before it trips out my rpms begin surging and the accelerator pedal becomes "soft" I have also noticed that when it's in limp there are no RPM fluctuations. Also when it trips it begins intermittent, like I can restart the car and its set for a while, anywhere from a day to a couple hours but the more it happens the more frequently it trips until its just tripped out all the time then suddenly it stops and the CEL goes away. This generally happens for a week. Ugh. This car...

Also he opened up the ECU box and it was bone dry as were the relays.

Pull the relays and see if they are burnt around the prongs. Mine was dry as well but when pulled out they looked like rainbows. Not saying that's your issue but since you want to replace the relays then start there.
