Question Seafoam in the Crankcase ok???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've heard mix reviews over the forums, just want to be clear if its ok to put some in my crankcase right before an Oil change? I was suggested to drive around 100 miles, than empty it. Has anyone done this? Also good for vacuum lines and the fuel tank?

I would put fuel system treatment in the gas tank.

I did both of these things 60-70k ago when I first got my car. Never any issues related to it but I've changed turbos multiple times since then.

Amsoil engine/trans flush. Its a detergent with no aggressive chemicals. I use it once a year to keep my Audi sludge free on top of the Amsoil 5w40 Euro/turbo synthetic oil.

My oil was pretty black when I first changed it, right now I changed its been using ow40 mobile 1 with a big mann filter.

I was debating on switching to T6, but while doing that I was seeing what anyone of you would do, or have any product you suggest.
    Thank you

When oil is black it means it's working and doing its job. It should be getting dark.

I'm not a dealer but I am preferred customer. It's only 20.00 a year for all the discounts. It's great.

Also, the benefits of Amsoil 5w40 oil will push the life of 1.8T to the max. These engines break down the weight of the oil through rigorous heat, and Amsoil 5w40 is tough enough to with stand it.

I can literally see my oil temp gauge go from 210 degrees to about 170-180 after a spirited run right when I get off the highway idling at a red light. Superior stuff!

Also note that Amsoil flush removes engine deposits off the oil cooler so it return it runs cooler. Just my experience.
