3G modem update, details?

I trying to decide whether to get the 3G modem update. My dilemma is:

• I have a low milage 2013
• My service writer told me that a module, more than just the 3G modem will be replaced.
• What is that module? What/how much is included? (DVD drive, SIM/SDRAM slots)
• Is the module new or refurbished? The thought of replacing a perfectly good part from my car with a refurb. unit that might be something like a heavily used failure repair from a 2010, isn't very appealing... :-/
• The cellular service is a low priority for me, but I'm thinking if I don't have it done, it might affect the resale value if I ever sell the car.

Any feedback would be appreciated...

its an updated modem because a company changed cellular bands in your area. Couple threads about it in the B8 S4 side. Its new and installed from the dealer and you will be fine.

Had this done on my A6 about a month ago. It's a non-issue as far as getting it done. It was done in a day.
