So I just noticed a small coolant puddle under the car, started looking around under the air dam

that leads to the air filter, just underneath the air dam I see this,

I move it a little and it breaks off

Can anyone identify this part, also I'm already scheduled to drop it off to my local shop in the morning for a quick oil change and can I run the car for about 4 miles with this hose like this?

    Thanks for the help.

Plug both ends of the severed connection if you need to drive it a short distance. That line connects to your coolant tank.

Is there a trick or certain pair of clamp pliers when the clamps are facing down?

Is your coolant level low? You mentioned a small puddle under your car, but its possible you were leaking elsewhere as well. Are You sure you can get to the place with no traffic, and before the engine is fully up to temp?

Personally on modern cars, I am not at all comfortable driving cars with their coolant systems not intact. If there is an air bubble in the system in the wrong spot, and the engine is up to temp........
