a few weeks ago, while merging onto the interstate i lost all boost shifting into 4th. I didnt have boost the rest of the way to work. left for lunch and had boost again... figured maybe the DV was sticking or something cause the same thing kept happening. drive for a while and i would lose boost under wot. i ordered a new DV (007) and the car flies through gears. drove fine for a day and now im back to the same thing. could the WG be sticking or something? im lost

Check the Forge. I had a 007 and had to clean it all the time. I typically would clean it ever oil change (4500 miles for me) and then I'd lube it extremely lightly with ATF also, do you have a B6? Cuz I've literally seen over 50% of modified audis with theirs installed sideways.

If you put it in the same way as the DV then it's possible backwards. The 007 goes in straight up and down with the horn facing the front of the car and the small vacuum hose that is connected to the top adjustment screw, should be pointed up at the top with the hose coming straight up and then across the TB cover

And yes it's possible mine did that same exact thing. Just unscrew the whole assembly and pull it apart. Use CRC valve cleaner and it's very simply put together just pay attention to how the spring is inserted and you'll have no issues putting it back together

okay, sorry for the lack of response. I flipped the DV around and the problem continued so i ordered a boost gauge and installed it so i would know exactly what im dealing with vac/boost wise. everything seems good at idle, -20, boost however...... i will spike up to 15 and taper back down to 9-10, then it will just dump off and cap out at 2-3lbs.... from other threads this sounds like it could be the n75 valve.... im gonna go ahead and order/replace it unless anybody has any other ideas as to what it could be. thanks!!

Also check the lines from the wastegate actuator to the N75, I had boost problems and because it was dark and the hoses are black I overlooked a cut hose many times before finally finding it.
