Octane that is.

So here's the deal. I have a few gas stations around that offer 94 octane, but they are a bit out of the way. I'll fill there when I can but it's usually only 1/4 of the time. I'm not worried about the cost as it's only a couple cents more a litre - say 2 bucks a fill - but it's more the ball ache of going to these out of the way gas stations.

When I do full with 94 I think I feel a difference - a little louder, a little more pull and/or throttle response. No mileage difference.

For those who have tried both / have access to both...is it actually worth it? Am I crazy and there really is no difference? I don't care about the 2 bucks - more just driving an extra 15-20 minutes for a fill....though I think I just answered my own question because it means driving 20 minutes more in my RS.

Also - for Canadian guys (and others with knowledge) - my only 94 source is Mohawk/Husky. With its "up to 10% ethanol" would you ever worry about water in the gas line/corrosion etc or is it just Shell fear mongering.
