Where is the oil filter on a C7 S6?????

Ok, where the heck is the oil filter on a '13 S6?

The filter housing is next to the drain plug, towards the driver side. Believe 32mm socket to remove

If you are facing the motor, it's on your left hand side at the front of the engine. Facing straight down beside the sump pan.

Here are my tips regarding the oil filter when doing an oil change for the S6

1. Be sure to open the drain on the filter housing otherwise it will get messy,movers fast.

2. Don't assume all the oil is out of the filter even when the filter drain stops.

3. Unscrew the filter housing very slowly. You will get waves of oil that will come out 5-10 times after you start making 1/2 turns of the filter housing.

4. Last;y... Be sure to leave enough time for the oil to drain out of the pan. I usually have the plug remove for about 20 minutes and small amounts of oil are still coming out.

Have fun! It's actually a very easy engine to change the oil on.
