    New 2014 S8/ Mods advise

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey. Been a while since i have posted on here. Just picked up a 2014 Audi S8 and i love it! Has anyone on here done an APR tune on their S8? Is it going to put too much strain on the engine? Also considering getting the USP motorsports intake system. Not sure if it is worth it since i can't find any reviews on the product! Was thinking about the milltek exhaust or possibly a custom one. Any other mods that you would suggest? Any help would be appreciated! (Sorry for the horrible photo taking. Will put better ones soon)

Beautiful car. Just enjoy it for what it is for a while before you start modding it. APR tunes would be sick tho!

Look at this thread for a D4 S8 owner with a GIAC tune.

I actually read that. What doesn't make sense is that the hp gains for GIAC are 75-88 hp and apr is 126 hp. Is GIAC more conservative as far as not putting too much strain on the engine? One thing i like about GIAC is that you can flash and unflash yourself.

I wouldn't worry about "strain," on the engine! They're built to perform - adding a little more boost, timing, etc won't hurt. APR tuned their RS7 and beat the shit out of it at the track and it's doing just fine! Pull the trigger! Very nice S8 by-the-way!!!

I love racing people that have "true sports cars," and beating them - the looks on their faces...priceless! The mods were easy: 93 tune, thermo, plugs, CAI, exhaust, upgraded turbos, and the kicker, Meth. It's a sleeper, yes but the new generation SHO's look business with aggressive fenders, raked looked, 20" black wheels, gloss black mesh grille, and you can see oil & tranny cooler lines behind the grille - it looks intimidating. *But the S6 or S8 is my actual dream car someday!

From what i've read, tunes will void your warranty and they are detectable by Audi. I'm holding off until my CPO is over.
