Extreme Spoiler Aftermarket Spoiler Video Review/Install & Giveaway

Hey guys - Some of you might have seen me install the spoiler on my build thread. There seems to be a bit of interest on it so I made a review/install video. I am new to this stuff, so please excuse the hack editing job as I'm still learning... any feedback as to what you would like to see is appreciated.

Giveaway:

ExtremeSpoiler is a new aftermarket manufacturer for Audi and are looking for some cars to model for their spoilers. They've asked me to reach out to the community, as they are looking to sponsor specific Audi Models. All you have to do (once selected) is take a few photos and post on some social media sites. You can take a look at my instagram as an example.

I do like the spoiler... seems like a small lip and understated... certainly not extreme, but who am I to judge. Shoot.. I might just buy it.

they have a few generic ones for 30 @ ecs. and one that is "perfectly" fit for like 50

Anyhow, they asked me if I knew anyone with a convertible A5/S5 to give out a free spoiler. Just acting as a messenger.

So they're out of free spoilers for the A5 did anyone else end up ordering one? I'm a bit skeptical on the paint matching for a metallic paint like Glacier.

im considering it tbh. worst cause is u can get it repainted. I think spoilers on ebay cost around the same primered so its like, why not

In my experience, metallic white is the hardest paint to match. I used to have a pearl white Lexus and it was notoriously difficult for shops to match the paint on my aftermarket kits.

Sorry you guys didn't get the sample. Ben did email me thanking me for posting on the forums. He didn't specifically say who responded. I imagine people saw my post and jumped on it but didn't post that they got selected. I posted this on audiworld as well.

Does repainting cost the same as paint a primered part? Do they bother sanding/stripping old paint or just spray over it?

that would depend on the shop itself. if its a good shop they would. worst case, you can prep it yourself, its not too hard. just buy some sand paper :D

It looks amazing but I'm having a difficult time calling it "Extreme Spoiler"...it doesn't get much more subtle than that...far from extreme.

That's what a good shop would do. They basically need to mix, spray a practice piece multiple layers, top coat it, and then let it cure. Then they would lay that piece over your car under a light to check the color match. If it doesn't match, then they do it again.

I've actually seen them do it before, and now I understand why metallic white is one of the hardest.
