Possible b6 s4 purchase

Looking at a 2004 s4 with 147,000 on it. I asked him to send a video of a cold start and got this.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s5VvpBUftrs . My question is if that rattle is common and alright. I've read that there is a normal knock while starting for a couple seconds. Is that this noise? Or is the chain tensioner going? Thanks

That sounds like a good 3 seconds of chain rattle and at that mileage I would account for that cost if I was to buy it

If you account for the cost of the timing job in the price it might still be a decent buy, just as long as the cylinder walls are in good shape. Especially if you have a lot of mechanical ability. I'd scope the cylinders and if they check out then I'd diy the timing, if the price is low enough
