Angry snapped a fucking trans mount bolt

i like to check bolts a few hundred miles after install, just in case. i have the 034 mounts and as i'm checking the torque on the bolts, one head pops right off. torque wrench set to 20Nm, no clue what the hell caused that.

i should be ok to drive on it, right? normal driving (not like a dick) until i get to the garage after work tomorrow.

Yeah I think you'd be fine to drive. Are these stretch bolts?

Yes, and people have broken them before. 034 posted the part numbers for new bolts in one of their threads in case anyone wanted to proactively replace them with the mount.

thank you for the link to that thread, i remembered reading it but couldnt track it down.

good luck finding the bolts though. closest dealer to me who had them in stock was 300 miles away. ECS wants $12 shipping for 2 bolts and that ain't happening. I found the M8x1.25 60MM grade 12.9 bolts at home depot for $1.29 a pop. putting them in tonight, torquing to their proper pre-load, and loctiting the shit out of everything to make sure this doesnt happen again.

Not gonna lie, I only read this thread because I thought the title was hilarious.

But, you should be fine. Just don't drive like a dickhead.
