C5 A6 3.0 Sedan Exhaust Question

Hey guys just looking into my exhaust options for my car. Id like to get a nice deep growling sound nothing too annoying (if that makes sense). My question then is has anyone with my model done an exhaust and what did you go with? Should i build my own system piece by piece or have an exhaust shop bend something for me? I ask that you be very detailed in your responses and suggestions because i am not very well versed in this type of thing.
