    Painted Calipers

I'm thinking about painting my calipers bronze like Nissan GTR's... Looked at G2 paint, obviously a custom color, brushed on and use black Audi emblems with the 4 rings. Any others done anything similar using a different technique or brand paint?

That'll work. Remember to use non-chlorinated brake cleaner.

I used caliper vinyl. No waiting for it to dry.

Did you do that yourself Steve? Got closeup pics? I was looking into that, but vinyl shops were asking for like $400 to do it.

I did it myself and I suck at it so there are some edges that a pro might not have. Up close you can see the lines, but I still like it as anal as I am. Figure the wheels/brakes get filthy quickly and I'm not taking it to the show.
I wasn't sure about the reflective, but I really like it. Powder coat is probably best- and I use Anthony's as the best example. but it was fun doing it.

    here is an example

I did my center plates red originally and then found some SQ5 stickers, but I wasn't 100% happy with them so I removed the vinyl from the plate and left it black like the 2016 factory red ones.

Got my new wheels yesterday... Ordering paint today... Hopefully I'll get it completed by next weekend. The calipers look so plain right now. I bought an S line wheel so the 5 spoke is a lot more revealing.

    ^^^^

for sure. Hard to do better. I would love mine in candy apple red. Time is the biggest issue IMO as well it needs to be baked, so a rebuild kit should be used after I would think.

The SQ brakes are really big and the color shows through pretty much any wheel you have, but they get dirty quickly so precision becomes less important IMO.

Mine is not an S line so they're bare metal calipers. That's why I want to paint them. Especially after I got my new wheels put on yesterday, they REALLY need to be painted now.
