    Airbag fault code

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Got an airbag light recently and this is the code that popped up:
    01217 - Side Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N199)
    001 - Upper Limit Exceeded

    Anyone know which airbag this is? Is it in the seat or the side curtain?

    It is the seat air bag.
    '03 A4 5-MT Motoza tuned Frankenturbo F21L With full supporting mods. Sold (and missed dearly).

    Great. Are they easy to swap? Do A4 bags fit S4 recaros?

    it's likely the connector, not the airbag itself - there's a TSB for it IIRC

    Looks like the repair had already been done in the past. Put it all back together and the light is off. For now...
