    Key coding B7

    Hi,

I have completed this successfully in the past, but have searched and searched and cannot now find the appropriate youtube clip.

I replaced the thermostat on my vehicle at the weekend and had to disconnect the battery.
This has had the effect of losing the coding on both keys, so I cannot use one key to learn from or secure the other, as shown in most video clips.

It is some sequence with the key in the ignition.... can anyone point the way?

Note - I tried the accessory position and press the unlock for 5 seconds... that didn't work.

    Thanks,
    K

Im not sure which one works, but I always stick the key in, turn to accessory, and hold the unlock for 10 seconds, then the lock for 10 seconds. That always works for me.

i just turn the key ignition on a few times and it works. i think either 3 or 5 is the magic number. don't remember so i just flip it 5 times and call it a day.
