I recently picked up S4_Saloons old Spring Blue RS and love it, immaculate inside and out. I'm coming from and still own a built B5 S4 making some decent power north of 550whp. Since taking delivery the B5 hasnt seen the light of day. Currently the car is sitting on Stassis Ohlins and H-Sport sway bars and I absolutely love the handling. It also has an ecs h-pipe and the sound is pretty good. Talking with S4_Saloon he says that it's long overdue for a carbon cleaning and I can definitely tell by driving it so I have ordered the JHM spacers, spark plugs, and fuel filter to tackle that ASAP.

Now I've searched quite a bit about tunes. I'm between JHM and VLMSpec (a b5 guy who does pretty good work but I would like some first hand reviews if there are any). Also for the JHM tune I would need a new exhaust (piggies will be ordered this week). Any input?

One problem I have is that the passenger side front door will not lock unless I manually turn the slot on the side of the door in which case it will then not unlock from outside or when I press the switch. I guess I will take the panel
Off and have a look but I'm thinking it may just be the switch itself? Any ideas?

    Thanks guys.

You will read/hear a lot of things but I have had the JHM 91 tune (95 euro) and piggies for about 15k miles and really like the car - huge difference. I always drive 93 (98 euro) but like to play it safe, especially if I travel where I can't get top grade fuel. Also changed my PCV valve recently which was due. I have h-pipe, removed resonators, and added "light" inline resonators and currently good/deep sound with no rasp after inline resonators. However, likely do the cat back or full JHM exhaust one day.

you went for it! Congrats! Havent heard about the door lock issue before, but seeing as how there are so many shared components with the S/A4, check the b7 a4 forums for the answer too. they have much broader user base and the chassis specific fixes are far more prevalent there.
