Has anyone done a valved exhaust system? I drive about 2000 miles a month and since I'm on the hwy so much I love how quiet the car is but would love some more growl when I get on it. Was thinking about picking up used c7 rear mufflers trying to fit them? Just curious if anyone has done or thought about this.

    Valved exhaust for 3.0t

A while back, a forum member installed electronic cutouts just ahead of the mufflers. Opening them bypassed the mufflers and the car was load as all hell.
That is about as close as I have ever seen to a valves exhaust in a C6.

That technology (when done at the muffler) is usually for adding quietness at idle and low speeds by further restricting flow until needed. I'm not sure if the benefit will be huge if you just bypass the muffler on our cars. Would make it louder, but would it really increase flow? I think you would have to bypass it further upstream, like the car Sin is referring to, in order to get gains. Then, you'd also make it extra loud. Would be cool though. I'd love to see and hear it. :)

Just some small cosmetic mods while getting to Stage 0
